Sony PSP (Light version) Review 1
Sony finally announced long-rumored new Sony PSP as E3 2007, during his press conference, writes James Yu of GameSpot. A recent patent update triggered speculation that the new PSP will be turning the screen and the functions of a mobile phone, a Sony Computer Entertainment President Kaz Hirai showed a modest PSP redesign at E3.
The new "improved design" PSP is a small and thin in the original version, with one third less weight - up to 189g - and more than four-fifths of the thickness (only 19 mm). Sony plans to eliminate the current PSP design and replace it with a new model in September. It remains the highest price for a new model, the United Kingdom, but they must be the same as the old version: £ 130
The new weight immediately noticeable as soon as you have a PSP in your hand. It is so simple that you think that there is no battery or not on the UMD disc inside. Sony was able to slim the size of the battery while the system is 5 hours of battery life by reducing the energy consumption of the device. You can use the batteries from the original PSP game twice, but the battery is not a standard to them. Sony offers a powerful package, with its own reporting, greater battery life.
The difference is indeed small, but some colleagues came to the conclusion that the D-pad and buttons on the new PSP provide more information for a better tactile feel. We've noticed that other changes include a UMD springless persistence mechanism and new speaker holes just above the D-pad and button areas.
Take the remote control has changed - headphones will still use a standard jack for headphones, but the new systems come with a new headphone / remote control to adjust to a new take. In the memory slot on the left side, it was a little bit, but Wi-Fi switch moved to the left of the system to the top of the block, where it is much harder to meet by accident.
